5 steps to starting a flea market

Starting a market can be a daunting experience, here are our tips:

  1. Find a suitable location: Look for a space that is easily accessible and has enough parking space
    for vendors and customers.
  2. Obtain the necessary licenses and permits: Check with your local government to find out what
licenses and permits are required to start a flea market. Everyone in SA must have a licence to operate.
  3.  Recruit vendors: Reach out to vendors on the platform, and support people who support local.
  4. Provide a positive customer experience: Make sure your flea market is clean and well-organized, and
offers a variety of products to attract and retain customers.
  5. Advertising your market through vendors and on social media platforms. Ask VSA to boost your advert.

From start to finish the process of licencing could take from 1 month to three, so give yourself enough time to make sure all the information, is correct.
